Electronic Cinematography has truly come to Studio 57. Our brand new
Sony HDW-F500 camera provides you with the flexibility to shoot at
will with 24p, 25p, 30p, 50i or 60i. Shooting on HD can resolve a
host of complicated and costly processes traditionally associated
with film production.
Now you can eliminate the need for costly film processing, transfer
and color correction. Capture your images directly onto the HDCAM
tape and you’ll see your final product instantly on a beautiful
20-inch high definition monitor. No guessing, no worries, just full
2k-resolution, ready to edit. With the multiple recording rates,
you can shoot for film, for video, or both without ever having to
touch film.

HDCAM® provides you with a final tape that will outlast traditional
formats like BetacamSP or Digital Beta and, much like film, can
serve as a negative for future higher resolution work, or to output
to film for projection of feature work.

Our in-house conversion abilities allows us to take what you shoot
and instantly view it, or if need be, convert it to a broadcast
tape format. Much like film, you can choose the image size during
your editing stage. Show the full 16:9 frame with a top and bottom
crop or use a 4:3 crop for traditional television output. You can
even pan and scan the image much like a film negative, allowing
you to take advantage of the full image in post production.

The advantages are obvious and the benefits many with this amazing
format. The beauty, creativity and flexibility of film meets the
convenience and peace of mind of video. No waiting, no hassle, no
problem. If you’ve never shot on HD and would like training
or consulting on planning your project, give us and call and we
can help you through the process and save you money too.
One stop, one shop, one solution.
